BEFORE + AFTER CARE.

Please read the before and after care instructions below in order to ensure the best possible results for your microblading.  It is important to remember that microblading is a process not just a procedure. We at Blush Beauty + Brows will work with you to make sure you are completely satisfied with your brand new brows!

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

 

Please review our microblading contraindications before booking your appointment

  • No Botox treatments should be done 3 weeks prior or 4 weeks after touch-up

  • No chemical peels 60 days before/after procedure (brows will peel quicker due to chemicals traveling under the skin)

  • No Retinols/Retin-A, anti-aging/acne creams, or serums containing acids as these will fade brows prematurely

  • Do not work out or sweat heavily the day of the procedure (Or the 2 weeks after)

  • Do not tan or have a sunburned face the day of the procedure

  • Do not take aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, or ibuprofen 48 hours before procedure

  • No waxing or tinting 2 weeks before procedure

  • No alcohol or caffeine 24 hrs before procedure

AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS
​

To help minimize scabbing, lightly clean the microbladed area with a gentle antibacterial soap like baby shampoo or Cetaphil when you get home to get rid of any lymph fluid. Repeat as needed for the first two days.

 

DAYS 1-14:
 

KEEP YOUR BROWS DRY. When showering, keep water off your brows.


THINGS TO AVOID:

​

  • Touching the microbladed areaScratching, picking or peeling the microbladed area, as it can cause scarring, color loss and/or.infection.

  • Avoid using makeup above the brow line as it can affect the pigment color. Also avoid the use of moisturizer, lotion, or sunscreen to your face.

  • Sun exposure - sun tanning - salon tanning

  • Laser or chemical peels, and any other form of exfoliation.

  • Exercise - participating in sports and activities that induce perspiration

  • Long, hot baths or showers - jacuzzis - saunas - swimming

  • Applying any creams to your face or neck containing retinol or glycolic acid.

  • Engaging in tasks like heavy household cleaning where airborne debris can become prevalent.

  • Drinking excessive amounts of alcohol, as it can cause wounds to heal slower.

  • Transportation in open-air-vehicles where strong wind is likely, for example; driving in cars with windows down, convertibles, motorcycles, bicycles, and boats.

 

AFTER DAY 14:
Resume your normal activities except, continue to avoid laser or chemical peels and forms of exfoliation, and any creams containing retinal or glycolic acid until after the completion of your microblading touch up appointment, and its healing process as well.
